Non-Sanction Youth Talent Contest Rules:
- Contestants must be at least 6 years old and not over 12 years old as of August 1, 2011 and be a resident of Grant County or attend a Grant County school.
- The contest is not open to professionals.
- Entries will only be accepted in the 8 categories listed under rule 3 of the Sanction Youth Talent Contest.
- A contestant may not enter more than 1 act in the same category.
- The top 3 acts will receive ribbons.
- Microphones and a CD player will be available. No tapes will be allowed. All other equipment must be provided by the participant. We will not be held responsible if your CD will not play in the equipment supplied. (Arrive early to screen your CD).
- CD with background utterances will be allowed. You cannot use the artist’s original CD or use a Karoke CD with the lead singer.
- In instrumental solo, an accompaniment (live or CD) will be allowed. It cannot be the same instrument as the solo instrument.
- No acts to run over 4 minutes.
- Kentucky state rules will be enforced. See Kentucky State Fair website for more info.
