Anyone who is able to ride a bicycle is welcome and encouraged to join in the fun.
Deputies will be teaching a “Bike Safety Skills Course”, where you will be riding a safety course through numerous stations. Each station will be teaching the safe way to ride a bicycle; you will have to go down the “Demon Driveway”, through the “Crazy Crossroads’, and around the “Rock Dodge”. This is not just for children; all ages will learn something interesting about bicycle safety.
Because this is a safety course each participant MUST HAVE A PROPERLY FITTED BICYCLE HELMET, and should bring their own bicycles.
Parents will also be instructed on basic bike safety. Not just the do’s and don’ts but the how’s and why’s.
We don’t need to teach good habits to kids so they can grow up to become better cyclists; we need to teach them so they can GROW UP!
