BEES & HONEY - OPEN

Rules:

  1. All Exhibitors must check in at the Exhibitors Registration Table prior to entering the Exhibit Area.
  2. An exhibitor, and any member of his/her family, or an apiary, is limited to one entry per class.
  3. By entering, an exhibitor certifies that he/she is the producer of the honey and/or product exhibited.
  4. If exhibitor has any questions about the color or class, the class of exhibits shall be determined by the member in charge.
  5. No person, other than the judge, shall handle any exhibit without expressed permission of the board member in charge.
  6. Board member in charge has the right to reject any entry.  Decisions by the board member in charge will be final.
  7. Exhibiters shall use only oval, flat-sided or square clear glass containers.
  8. Exhibitors shall not be limited to only Grant County residents.
  9. All entries must be removed between 9:00 am and 12 noon on the last Saturday of the fair.  Any entries not removed will be discarded.

All entries/ classes are subject to change and will match the 2011 Ky State Fair Book. 

GRAND PREMIUM:  Trophy and $10.00 donated by the Kentucky Backyard Beekeepers.  Using a point system, the highest point total of all bees and honey exhibits (1st place – 8 points; 2nd place – 6 points; 3rd place – 5 points) will win the Grand Premium.

2nd place - $2.50 and Rosette 
3rd place - $1.00 and Rosette
